Description
The State of the Region Summit, presented by DecisionPathHR, connects members with information about pertinent business updates in the areas that affect you and your bottom line. This virtual event will include two sessions - Oct. 23 and Nov. 20. Each day will be 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Participants only need to register for the Oct. 23 session. You will be automatically included in communications and receive login information for the Nov. 20 session. Registration for the Oct. 23 session will close on Oct. 22 at 5 p.m.
Part one on Oct. 23 will include:
- Community update on COVID-19 from Atrium Health and Cabarrus Health Alliance
- Introduction of the Cabarrus Center and Flywheel Coworking
- Candidate forum for NCGA seats
- Lessons learned from COVID from representatives of small businesses, professional services, banking and construction
- BRACE program through the Small Business Center
Part two on Nov. 20 will include:
- Election overview by Dr. Michael Bitzer
- “Modernizing NC’s Infrastructure Through Sustainable and Diversified Revenue Streams,” a report presented by Kelly Fuller, president of the NC Chamber Foundation
- North Carolina transportation information, presented by David Howard, chief deputy secretary of NCDOT
- Cabarrus County 20-year Public Transportation Plan
