Description
We need leaders with a nuanced understanding of how our minds and cultures affect both our decision making and our ability to create diverse and inclusive spaces. This workshop starts by providing a rationale for why leaders need to create equitable, diverse, and inclusive environments in order to excel in the 21st century. Using interactive activities and applied examples, we explore the topics of mental associations, biases, decision making, and inclusive excellence. The workshop then offers an applied four-part model (the “PARM” method) that you can use to make better decisions, create inclusive spaces, and connect more with those around you. We will end with a short discussion on the implications of these topics to Cabarrus County.
