SUMMARY:The Cabarrus Chamber’s COVID-19 Relief Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:In these constantly changing times\, you can count on your chamber to be with you to offer support\, resources and information. As a small business\, we understand your concerns and will work closely with you to try to find answers. \n\n \n\nLast week\, Congress passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act that provides great benefits for families and businesses. We have received questions from you how this translates to your business\, so our friends at The Employer Association offer this help. They have a concise recap of the bill\, along with the changes to North Carolina's unemployment laws. Please note that under the Family and Medical Leave Expansion\, there is an exemption for small businesses with less than 50 employees if requirements would jeopardize the viability of the business. We are working to get clarification how this will be handled. \n\n \n\nBecause we want you to hear factual\, time relevant information\, we are hosting a Facebook Live Town Hall on Thursday\, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. for you to hear directly from our community leaders and subject matter experts for updates on COVID-19\, policies and procedures.
