DESCRIPTION:As we talk to businesses\, regardless of size\, the number one concern is workforce development and growing a skilled talent pipeline. This is a GREAT opportunity for your business to help! \n\n \n\nCabarrus County Schools\, Kannapolis City Schools\, the Cabarrus County Education Foundation and the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to provide a unique and special opportunity to 1\,200 high school juniors and seniors of our community by bringing them a comprehensive career awareness and exploration experience at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center on Tuesday\, March 19\, 2019 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.\, and we need your help! \n\n \n\nIt is our hope that this career development event will introduce students to a wide range of careers through hands-on activities\, work-related simulations\, internship/apprenticeship/part-time work recruitment opportunities\, preparation for the job market through soft skills coaching\, and much more! We invite you to be a part of this collaborative effort to prepare our high school students to be "Career Ready" by doing at least one of the following: \n\n \n\n	Introduce students to possible career fields by sharing hands-on experiences about career opportunities at your company's booth\n	Recruit for open positions \n	Prepare students for the future job market by sponsoring one of the career cafe symposiums\n	Help students learn about alternative paths for achieving necessary career education through community schools\, trade schools\, etc. \n	Share information on internships/apprenticeship programs and part-time employment\n\n \n\nClick here to find additional information and reserve your space.
